This first set of Preserved Collection Add-Ons are just the beginning we have more planned for release in the coming months and you can find out more about these by following our Roadmap!.
Here’s everything included in the first set of Preserved Collection ready to play in Train Sim World 2 and combine with the Scenario Planner for custom services...
Hauptstrecke Rhein-Ruhr
Experience bustling regional and commuter operations from aboard modern and well-known traction with Hauptstrecke Rhein-Ruhr. Drive your trains over a rail network represented how it is today, complete with both routes between Essen and Bochum that are populated by different trains and services. Take control of a duo of DB multiple units, the hard-working DB BR 425 which is used on regional services by the dozen throughout Germany, and the DB BR 422 that works exclusively for the S-Bahn Rhein-Ruhr. Together the two work passenger duties along the route.
East Coastway
Enjoy modern commuter traction along the wonderfully picturesque countryside of Southern England in East Coastway. Operate your trains over a rail network represented how it is today, complete with modern signalling on a route that defines commuter and seaside rail operations. It’s your job to take passengers and freight across England’s southern coast and into the country’s oldest rail-served seaside town, Brighton, in the cab of iconic British motive power such as the BR Class 377 and BR Class 66.
Peninsula Corridor
Stretching south from San Francisco, is home to one of America’s most modern and captivating commuter railroads – Caltrain – and Peninsula Corridor brings to life Caltrain commuter operations extending from San Francisco’s 4th & King Street station to San Jose Diridon station. Over the 47 miles between “the City by the Bay” and trendy San Jose, Caltrain calls at 26 commuter stations. Equipped with Caltrain’s EMD F40PH-2CAT diesels and Nippon-Sharyo Gallery commuter equipment, it will be your job to keep those thousands of daily commuters on time and happy.
MP15DC diesel switcher
The MP15DC is a multi-purpose locomotive build in the traditional “end cab” design of diesel switchers but equipped with trucks capable of mainline service. Constructed by Electro-Motive (EMD) from 1974 through 1980, the MP15DC is a four-axle (B-B), 1,500-horsepower (1119 kW) locomotive powered by an EMD 12-cylinder 645-series engine and employing a D.C. generator. A total of 351 MP15s were constructed. Dressed in Caltrain’s colorful livery, the MP15DC is a superb re-creation of the distinctive locomotive and features exacting details, fully interactive and realistic controls, and true-to-life performance.
MP36PH-3C ‘Baby Bullet’
If a diesel locomotive can, at once, be both stylish and rather brutish, the MPXpress fits the bill. Packing 3,600-horsepower and constructed to stringent crash worthiness standards, the MP36PH-3C stretches to 70-feet in length, stands 15-and-a-half feet tall, weighs in at more than 280,000 pounds – and yet manages a sleek, rather European-style visual panache. Caltrain ordered six MP36PH-3C variants for use on its new “Baby Bullet” express commuter services.
