TS19: 10 Years and Counting

Train Simulator celebrates its 10th anniversary – a whole decade of creating, driving and railfanning, and what a time it has been!
From the first release of Railworks to the most recent 64-bit update, we’ve been running non-stop and you’ve been supporting us all the way.

Train Simulator 10th Anniversary Facts

  • We have laid over 16,800 miles (27,000 km) of track in total, including main lines, branches, yards and sidings
  • We’ve built more than 190 trains, and that’s without including all the rolling stock
  • Third parties have made even more, in particular laying over 11,000 miles (17,700 km) and creating around 150 trains – and that’s just the ones on Steam!
  • Our dedicated creative community have uploaded over 21,000 items to the Steam Workshop
We would like to extend our thanks to you, our players and third party creators, for being part of this incredible journey over the past 10 years, and we’re sure you’re just as excited as us for the next 10! Make sure you watch this space to find out where the train simulator journey calls at next...
For now though, in celebration of 10 Years of Train Simulator, we are letting you try out our neck of the woods for the next few days – the Chatham Main & Medway Valley Lines route is able to be played for free this weekend!
A stone throw’s away from our HQ, the Chatham Main & Medway Valley Lines pairs together classic commuter operations and scenic rural running – offering the “Chatham Main Line” between Rainham, Kent and London Victoria, via both the main route and the diversionary Catford Loop – and the “Medway Valley Line” which links the Medway town of Strood to Paddock Wood and Tonbridge, via the county town of Maidstone. A continuation of the line to Gravesend is also included, allowing for freight runs from Tonbridge West Yard to Hoo Junction, and back on the mainline the spur to Orpington features for even more commuter action.
This weekend, you can download and try the Chatham Main & Medway Valley Lines for free, and if you’re smitten by our locale, you can pick up the route to keep and save 50%!
Note: you must already own Train Simulator to download, try and purchase the Chatham Main & Medway Valley Lines route.
