Train Sim World 5 has arrived, and with it comes a whole new suite of mastery challenges you can get involved in, with new rewards to earn and prove your mastery each month!

Mastery challenges are a unique set of individual tasks for you to complete whilst playing Train Sim World 5, with a set of specific requirements in order to be completed. Starting in October 2024, we're renewing the structure for these challenges to be a monthly cycle, introducing a regular series of goals and missions that encourages you to explore new ways of playing, and test your skills.

We've kept this first month fairly simple to begin, whilst we introduce many new players into TSW5 with the Free Starter Pack, and we'll begin to explore more complex tasks throughout the year to challenge your experience within TSW.

After completing each set of the challenges, you will earn a themed mastery challenge badge for that respective month, as a sign to prove your completion and reward you with a way to visualise this achievement.

Here's a look at the badges over the next year (from October 2024 to September 2025), which have been stylised around the colours of the seasons.

These challenge badges will act as decals, and can be applied to any of your owned trains and rolling stock using the Livery Designer. This is where you will view your badge collection, and you can display them in a way that you want as you collect them from one month to the next. You can then take the train on to your favourite route, and grab some screenshots of your badges using the new Photo Mode features!

For those with the three core routes in Train Sim World 5, remember there are also route-specific challenges which unlock more decals and Scenery Tiles within the routes themselves!
