In The Catch: Carp & Coarse you can take on your fellow anglers in the Dovetail Fishing League. Each month you will battle it out through weekly tournaments as you attempt to become the Angler of the Month which will be celebrated across our social media pages and in-game. Your score towards each tournament will be taken from your best attempt.

The winner is the angler with the highest combined weight of their biggest five fish from the qualifying species for an event. Only one species will count in this series and we will let you know at the start of the week which species it is you will be tracking down.

The Carp Series winner will be the angler with the highest total weight of carp from their best attempt.

The angler with the highest total length of predatory fish caught will be the winner in the Predator Series.

The winner here will be the angler that catches the highest total number of qualifying species in the time limit.

Starting this week (6th July) we will have our first season of the Dovetail Fishing League starting.

Here's what the first week of tournaments in The Catch: Carp & Coarse's Dovetail Fishing League will look like:

Hunter Series: In the first Hunter Series tournament of the season you will be heading to the Linear Fisheries Complex in Oxfordshire and trying to track down the common carp on Oxlease. Catch the 5 biggest carp you can to count towards your score. Taking place at sunrise, one of the most active times of day for common carp you'll have to contend with the heavy rain.

Carp Series: The Carp Series is off to Loch Mickle as you try to catch the highest weight of carp in the time limit. Take the boat out or get set up on the bank but make sure you cover up somehow as the morning is bringing heavy rain.

Coarse Series: The urban jungle is calling in the Coarse Series as you head to Rotterdam to see if you can catch the highest number of fish on the canal. The skies are clear for this sunset tournament.

Predator Series: Pearl Lake's monsters lay in wait for you in the Predator Series. It's a clear afternoon and the fish are biting so it's over to you to throw down the gauntlet.
