We’re thrilled to announce this brand-new title for Dovetail Games: welcome to Metro Rivals: New York. Metro Rivals is an exciting new train simcade experience. Set in near future New York City, the Metro system has been taken over by fearsome adversaries, who each govern their own patch: The Track Titans. In this world, reputation is everything; strategy is king, and all-out speed can mean all-out disaster.
In Metro Rivals, you’ll take control of the subway and transform it into something bold, fast, and utterly unique. This isn’t just about timetables and platforms – it’s about outsmarting opponents, earning your place on the rails, and seizing victory against these Track Titans, as well as your friends, family, and online rivals.
To rise, you’ll need to hustle, armed with just a hand-me-down train and a dream, you'll complete jobs, get cash, build your following, earn respect – and with it – the prestige to challenge each Titan for their territory. Outwit them. Outdrive them. Outshine them. We’ll see you on the tracks!
What can you expect from Metro Rivals: New York? Here’s a list of the exciting features you can expect when the doors slide open:
- Story-driven single player – Push yourself to the limits in the story-drive single player mode, facing challenges and taking on the track titans to grow your reputation.
- Fierce PvP showdowns – Challenge your friends in a fierce head-to-head on-track battle with up to 4 friends in a PvP co-op mode
- Multiple Game modes – Metro Rivals also offers options for players to set their own paths, hop into their train, and enjoy the sights of the city (and their train!)
- Make it yours – Customise your underground empire and make your ride truly yours.
- Unreal Engine 5 – Metro Rivals utilises all the power from Unreal Engine 5, meaning your Metro experience will be more immersive and breathtaking than ever before.
- Reactional Music – Real time musical interactivity means music is fully native and cinematically integrated in the game, even when swapping tracks.
The best thing about it? You can experience the sights, sounds, and feeling of the New York subway experience, from the comfort of your living room. (Don't worry, we haven't simulated the smells).
