Train Sim World 6: Post-release Patch Summary, Oct 28th

This week, we continue the rollout of Patches that we outlined in Community posts last week, following the release of the WCML: Birmingham - Crewe Add-on.
Two patches are being rolled out today, covering WCML: Birmingham - Crewe, TSW6 Core content and other previously released Add-ons.

What to expect and when?

Tuesday 28th Oct, from 11am GMT:

WCML: Birmingham - Crewe Hot Fixes (PlayStation & Xbox)

Players on PlayStation and Xbox should soon be seeing updates aiming to improve crashing at Crewe, reduce texture blurriness, layering issues and implement Train Faults.
As a reminder, this update should also include:
  • Added Train Faults
  • Improved optimisation at Crewe to reduce crashes and minimise texture blurring
  • This improvement may also help reduce crashes for scenarios starting in Crewe, but our teams are still reviewing
  • Fixed issues with ex-LM liveries causing texture blurring on consoles
  • Fixed an issue where layer requirements were incorrectly set (preventing some players using those layers – notably for the Class 220)
  • Removed floating scenery on the approach to Stafford from Birmingham
We'll continue to work with the All Aboard Studios team to improve textures around Crewe and provide a future update on when players can expect these improvements.
This patch rolled out at 11am GMT on Tuesday 28th October. It may take up to 24 hours for the patch to become available on your systems.

Tuesday 28th Oct, from 2pm GMT:

Train Sim World 6: Core Update (all platforms)

plus, WCML: Birmingham - Crewe Hot Fixes (Steam & Epic)

From 2pm, players on Steam and Epic will receive the above update for WCML: Birmingham - Crewe.
In addition, a Core update is being pushed featuring the following highlights for all platforms:
  • Fixed profile transferring for PS4 players.
  • Fixed Train Faults so they no longer occur every couple of seconds.
  • Fixed an issue causing announcements to miss certain station names. Some announcements are still missing, but we are continuing to implement these.
Specific improvements to Train Sim World 6 Core routes include:
  • Announcement fixes and improvements for Morristown Line
  • Riviera Line trains added to Formation Designer
  • DB BR 294 Journey Mode no longer showing empty services
As well as the following highlights for other Train Sim World routes:
  • Class 220 Voyager services for the Class 170 Birmingham Cross-City timetable
  • Class 220 Voyager services for Manchester Airport Commuter
  • Scenery and lighting improvements for Manchester Airport Commuter
  • Sprinter timetable and more ScotRail Class 158 Levenmouth services for Fife Circle Line
  • On Board Announcements for the Class 158 and Class 170 DMUs on Fife Circle Line
This patch rolled out at 2pm GMT on Tuesday 28th October. As with the first patch, it may take up to 24 hours for the patch to become available on your systems.
Things don't stop there! We outlined our plans for further patches in an announcement last week and will give further updates on future patches at a later time.
This will include further core improvements from feedback following TSW6’s release, and a wider range of improvements for the Birmingham-Crewe route.
We hope this clarity helps you understand the timeline of when you can expect improvements, and our goals for how we ensure the content is the best experience possible.
We thank you for your patience and understanding, and we hope you continue to enjoy Train Sim World 6 and WCML: Birmingham - Crewe whilst we bring you these updates.
